• Tang Qi created the Holy Necromancer martial soul for Huo Yutong and met Tang Ya and Bei Bei while they searched for him.

Tang Qi protected Huo Yutong from Shrek’s failures and clashed with the academy after Ma Xiaotao’s rampage left him and Class Nine in danger. The Clear Sky Sect intervened, revealed Tang Qi’s identity as the Sea God’s Son, and left Shrek facing a change in leadership.

• Tang Qi comforted Huo Yutong after Dai Huabin insulted her, then helped Tang Ya restart the Tang Sect and supported Huo Yutong’s plan to sell grilled fish.
• Tang Qi refused Mu Jin’s attempt to recruit Huo Yutong for the Soul Tool Department, and Huo Yutong began learning about Soul Tools from Tian Meng.
• Tang Qi rescued Huo Yutong from Ma Xiaotao’s rampage, shielded Class Nine, and defeated Ma Xiaotao despite Yan Shaozhe ordering him to stop.
• Yan Shaozhe threatened the students and tried to cover up the incident, so Tai Tan attacked him and the Clear Sky Sect confronted Shrek’s leaders.
• Tang Qi waited in the Clear Sky Sect’s underground fortress as Tang Tian reported that the sect had surrounded Shrek and its elders were fighting the academy’s leaders.
• Niu Tian revealed that Tang Qi was the Sea God’s Son, then fought Mu En while the Clear Sky Sect demanded Shrek answer for its treatment of Tang Qi.
• Mu En survived the battle, ordered the Sea God Pavilion dissolved after his death, and asked the Clear Sky Sect to send someone to lead Shrek.
• Niu Tian sent Tai Tan to protect Tang Qi, while Mu En learned that Ma Xiaotao’s altered Martial Soul could not be restored.

Tang Qi led his friends through Shrek’s freshman tournament and then brought the Tang Sect back to Heaven Dou City. The arc ended with Tang Ya taking revenge on the Iron Blood Sect as an Evil Soul Master approached and Xuan Zi confronted him.

• Niu Tian met Di Tian in Star Dou Great Forest, subdued Xiong Jun, and left after promising to aid the Soul Beast Clan once if it faced annihilation.
• Xuan Zi took over as Sea God Pavilion Master and appointed Tai Tan temporary dean of the Martial Soul Department, while Yan Shaozhe and Cai Mei'er remained missing.
• Ning Tian asked Tang Qi to pose as her boyfriend and sell Hidden Weapons to the Nine Treasures Glazed Tile Sect, and he agreed.
• Tang Qi and his teammates advanced through the Freshman Assessment Tournament, defeating Huang Chutian’s and Xie Huanyue’s teams and inviting promising freshmen to join the Tang Sect.
• Tang Qi protected Ning Tian’s team from Dai Huabin’s Hell White Tiger, then defeated Dai Huabin and Zhu Lu in the final as Zhu Lu rejected Dai Huabin afterward.

Tang Qi and the Tang Sect defeated the Iron Blood Sect, while Tang Qi left the political negotiations behind and traveled north with Huo Yutong to seek the Ice and Snow Empresses. The Ice Empress agreed to sacrifice herself to Huo Yutong, and Tang Qi tested her resolve after discovering a trove of profound ice marrow.

• Xuan Zi killed the black-robed elder, while Tang Ya and Tang Qi destroyed the Iron Blood Sect and Tang Ya’s craving for life force subsided after Tang Qi fed it through a kiss.
• Tang Tian and the Clear Sky Sect fought the Heavenly Soul and Body Sect forces, while Xuan Zi and Tai Tan confronted Du Busi and Prince Wei Xing tried to enlist Xuan Zi’s help.
• Wei Aipi insulted the Tang Sect during negotiations, so Huo Yutong and the Clear Sky Sect disciples abducted him and used Tang Sect hidden weapons to kill him.
• Tang Qi and Huo Yutong departed for the Far North, where Tian Meng planned to give Tang Qi a Snow Empress martial soul and Huo Yutong an Ice Empress martial soul.

• In Dragon City, Nan Qiuqiu confronted men accused of oppressing the city’s people, while Tang Qi’s group entered a cave beneath the Earth Dragon Sect and found ten-thousand-year profound ice marrow.
• Tang Qi explained that he wanted to test the Empresses’ loyalty before their sacrifices, and the Ice Empress demanded permission to absorb the marrow before offering him her tail.
