In a vast cave in the Land of Rain, Obito Uchiha appeared after a day of rest. This cave was the hiding place of the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.

The enormous humanoid statue sat cross-legged in the darkness, its two massive arms raised as though it were cupping its face. Space rippled into a vortex, and Obito Uchiha appeared on one of the statue's fingers.

As Madara Uchiha's true successor, Obito Uchiha possessed both Wood Release and the Sharingan. He could operate the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path even without the Rinnegan.

Normally, only Nagato and Obito visited the place where the statue was kept. Most of the time, no one was here apart from a few White Zetsu standing guard.

Facing the empty cave, Obito said in a low voice, "Go get Tobi for me."

"Yes, Lord Madara," came a White Zetsu's voice from the dark cave.

Before long, a white humanoid creature with a spiral face emerged from the darkness. He looked up at Obito standing on the statue's finger and said, "Obito, what do you want me for? I was just thinking about what it feels like for you humans to poop!"

"I told you, I'm Madara now, Tobi." Obito looked at him. "Come with me. We're going to bring back Kirigakure's Three-Tails."

"Huh? You're planning to start collecting tailed beasts already?" Tobi spread his hands, looking a little surprised.

"The Three-Tails is a troublesome tailed beast, not because it's particularly powerful, but because of who its Jinchūriki is. As Mizukage, Karatachi Yagura has far too much power at his disposal. Now that he's broken free of my control, we can't give him time to react. We need to capture him quickly, or things will get troublesome," Obito said.
