News of Kirigakure's attempt to steal the Byakugan spread throughout Konoha. Everyone knew about it, from elite jonin down to ordinary villagers and Ninja Academy students.

For a time, everyone in Konoha was seething with anger, wishing they could devour Kirigakure whole.

The matter was being discussed on every street and in every alley in Konoha. The villagers' fury had been ignited, and they wanted nothing more than to storm Kirigakure and teach those reckless fools a lesson.

How dare a mere village like Kirigakure covet Konoha's Byakugan? They clearly had a death wish!

That was what the people of Konoha thought.

In a sixth-year classroom at the Konoha Ninja Academy, Sasuke rested his chin on his crossed hands and stared at the blackboard. For once, he had come to school for lessons.

Sasuke knew something about the Hyuga Clan's situation in Kirigakure. He also knew about the task Neji had commissioned the Ninja Cat Clan to handle.

Sasuke was not particularly worried about Neji. As far as he was concerned, with Neji's strength, he could practically do as he pleased throughout the shinobi world.

"Boring lessons." After class ended, Sasuke slipped his hands into his pockets, turned, and walked out of the classroom.

As far as he was concerned, the Ninja Academy had long since run out of things to teach him.

"Stuck-up Sasuke!" Naruto Uzumaki's voice rang out behind him. "Stuck-up Sasuke, do you dare face me in another ninja duel?"

Sasuke turned and gave Naruto a brief once-over before saying flatly, "Dead last, I suggest you worry about how you're going to graduate."

"How dare you underestimate the great Naruto Uzumaki!" Feeling slighted, Naruto shouted, "A measly graduation exam is nothing to the great Naruto!"

"Heh..." Sasuke laughed dismissively. "Let's hope so."
