Then something went wrong when they absorbed the Eight-Tails' chakra. They first absorbed its severed horn and octopus tentacle.
Next, when they began absorbing the Eight-Tails' main body, the real problem emerged. With a poof, Killer B turned into a section of octopus tentacle.
Obito Uchiha looked at Nagato. "Nagato, it seems the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki fooled you with his little trick."
Nagato fell silent for a moment, then said, "I'm sorry, Mr. Madara."

After absorbing chakra from the Three-Tails, Seven-Tails, and Eight-Tails, the Demonic Statue had opened a total of three eyes with pupils.

Obito Uchiha shook his head. "The White Zetsu hiding in Kumogakure haven't detected the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki anywhere in the village."
