Lucian woke to violent jolting.
He opened his eyes, only to find pitch-black darkness before him.
After spending a while in a daze, Lucian gradually remembered what had happened before he lost consciousness.
I followed Uncle Rondo to the small Manor outside Doral City, planning to take the short-term job he offered and earn a little money, only to be knocked out by a burly man who appeared out of nowhere?

However inexperienced Lucian might have been, he knew he must have fallen into a trap. That kindly-looking Uncle Rondo probably wasn't a good man at all.
Even his offer to help Lucian out of trouble had merely been a way to lower his guard and win his trust.
At that thought, Lucian felt bitterness rise in his mouth.
Before he set out, many people had warned him not to go to Doral City alone. All sorts mingled there, and a student fresh out of college like him could easily be swindled.
But at the time, he had thought he was merely a poor student. Even if someone wanted to cheat him, he had nothing worth taking, so surely no one would target him.
As long as he was a little careful, nothing should go wrong.
Yet the reality now told Lucian that he had been far too naive.
First, a thief had stolen what little money he had left. Then someone had tricked him into coming along, and now he was completely at someone else's mercy...

Lucian frowned, a flicker of doubt rising within him.
Judging by the constant jolting beneath him and the metallic clanging, he was probably locked inside a Magic Locomotive speeding down an uneven road.
Based on that, he had most likely been kidnapped.
But that was what baffled Lucian. Why kidnap him?
