The so-called Anti-Magic Domain Array actually worked by putting the magic elements within a particular mana space into an abnormal state, preventing mages from influencing and controlling them freely through mana. Naturally, that left them unable to use magic.

There were two ways to overcome this effect.

The first was to obtain the relevant data on the Anti-Magic Domain Array, particularly a thorough understanding of every parameter of the affected mana space, then adjust how one used mana accordingly to regain control over the magic elements.

This was somewhat similar to the way Lucian had drawn that magic array earlier, except that his method was more of a clever workaround, nowhere near truly breaking through the effect.

The second method was purely physical destruction: directly destroying the object on which the Anti-Magic Domain Array had been drawn would naturally destroy its effect.

Given their current surroundings, the only possible place this Anti-Magic Domain Array could have been drawn was on the Magic Locomotive beneath their feet.

But the moment Lucian touched the carriage wall, he sensed another force interfering with his mana.

He quickly determined that both the carriage wall he was touching and the floor beneath his feet had been fitted with additional reinforcement arrays.

The purpose of these reinforcement arrays was simple: they specially strengthened an object, making it extremely difficult to deform.

So to destroy the carriage they were in, they first had to break through this reinforcement array.

Yet after only a brief attempt, Lucian immediately discovered that the array was far more intricate than he had imagined, well beyond his current understanding.

"Clearly, they came very well prepared. That's why they dared to let us move around freely in the carriage." Lucian sighed and told the others what he had discovered.
