"You mean... this thing will eventually fly higher than the sky, and then it won't fall back down?"
President Cruz stared in disbelief at the enormous object towering in the distance. It looked much like a Mana Cannon Shell, only countless times larger, and Xu Yi had called it a "Mana Launch Rocket."
Xu Yi rolled his eyes at him, his gaze full of disdain.
"If you'd read the latest issues of the Xinfei Magic Industry Weekly, or studied any physics theory, you'd know that once an object's launch speed exceeds first universe velocity, it can escape the planet's gravity and enter an orbit beyond the planet, circling around it. Of course it won't fall down."
President Cruz chuckled. "I've been busy lately. Where would I find the time to read some Magic Industry Weekly? Besides, all this outer space stuff you're talking about has nothing to do with our merchant guild, so of course I haven't paid attention."
"Are you sure it has nothing to do with you?" Xu Yi pointed at the sky. "Let me tell you, the planet beneath our feet isn't the only one in this vast universe. In fact, beyond what you can see with the naked eye, there are countless planets of all kinds, and some of them may well have people living on them too. Don't you want to build houses on those other planets?"
"Construction on other planets?" President Cruz's eyes lit up, but then he shook his head. "Forget it. Right now, you're only sending something into space. Who knows how long it'll take before we can actually travel to another planet? Maybe... I won't live to see that day."
Xu Yi smiled, reflecting that although President Cruz did not understand how rocket launches worked, or even what outer space actually
