Xu Yi followed Count Samo and Count Anneris into a small enclosed pavilion beside the banquet hall. The two counts took their seats, then Count Samo pointed at Xu Yi and said to Count Anneris with a smile, "Here, Anneris. This is Xu Yi, whom I mentioned to you last time."
Count Anneris looked Xu Yi up and down, then nodded with a smile. "I've long heard that President Xu is young and accomplished. Now that I've met you, you really are extraordinarily young. An old man like me can't help feeling envious."
Xu Yi smiled faintly. "You're in the prime of a man's life, my lord. I should be the one envying you."
"Oh? I'm already an old man, without the energy to do anything I want. I'm nothing like a young man as full of vigor as you. What is there to envy about me?" Count Anneris asked with a smile.
Xu Yi pointed to an empty chair beside them. "At your age, at least I'd have a chair to sit on, wouldn't I?"
Count Samo and Count Anneris paused, exchanged a glance, and burst out laughing together.
Count Anneris pointed at Count Samo, his mouth wide with laughter, and said loudly, "Sean, this is your fault, isn't it? What kind of host doesn't even offer his guest a seat? You've made President Xu resort to a roundabout jab at you."
Count Samo laughed for a while too, then glanced at Xu Yi. "There's always a seat reserved for President Xu in my City Lord's Manor. Unfortunately, he's a busy man and rarely comes here.
