According to Xu Yi's original design, the Magic Press drew its power from an array for the fourth-level fire spell, Burst Spell. The spell's powerful impact drove the die assembly to perform the pressing operation.
At first, there had been nothing wrong with this design.
But after using it for some time, the dwarves gradually discovered that the Magic Press's pressing force was still somewhat inadequate. Moreover, the Burst Spell array took a relatively long time to recover between bursts, severely limiting its efficiency.
As the Xinfei Merchant Guild received more and more orders and its production workload grew heavier, this Magic Press began to fall short in efficiency.
Although they could solve the problem by producing several more Magic Presses, that would require more workers to operate them, indirectly increasing costs.

However, Xu Yi only knew how mechanical presses on Earth were constructed. Using a magic array as the driving force required changes to the entire structure, so Canby and the other dwarves still had to work out the specific overall design.
