Xu Yi and Stille froze at the same time, looking in astonishment toward the voice.
Xu Yi was thoroughly annoyed. The mood between him and Stille had been so perfect, and they had been just about to share a passionate kiss in the early morning when this fellow interrupted them.
And of all the people he could have cursed, he had singled Xu Yi out by name. How could he put up with that?
Xu Yi released Stille and walked toward the voice with a frown.
He wanted to see who had so little sense.
But he had only taken two steps when a splash suddenly came from that direction, as though something heavy had fallen into the water.
Xu Yi froze, then turned to exchange a look with an equally stunned Stille. They both cried, "Oh no!" With no time to worry about anything else, he cast a Wind-Riding Spell on himself and flew straight toward the riverbank.
The two flew over the river in an instant. Looking down, they spotted a figure bobbing in the current of the broad Sandy River.
As he drifted along, the man was actually shouting for help.
At the sight, Xu Yi did not know whether to laugh or be annoyed.
People who tried to kill themselves really did act on impulse. When death actually stared them in the face, they still regretted it.
Xu Yi sighed, shook his head, and flew down. Grabbing the back of the man's collar with one hand, he hauled him straight out of the river.
He carried the man to the bank and set him down. The man rolled over on the ground and vomited several mouthfuls of river water before finally recovering.
