He opened the door to find Linda outside.
"Is Stille finished?" Xu Yi naturally understood why she had come knocking at this hour. After tidying up the documents in his study, he headed toward the bathroom.
For some reason, before she became pregnant, Stille had occasionally shared a bath with Xu Yi. After becoming pregnant, however, she had suddenly grown much shyer. Not only did she refuse to let him bathe with her, but their usual marital intimacy had become much less frequent as well.
Xu Yi had once asked Stille about this, and she had explained that pregnancy had changed her figure. She did not want him seeing her naked too often, fearing that he would find her unattractive.
Xu Yi naturally scoffed at such unfounded worries, but since Stille insisted, he would not force the issue.
As a result, there had been far less intimacy between them lately, which he found quite a shame.
Still, Xu Yi had never been particularly preoccupied with such matters, so it had not affected him much.
After following Linda to the enormous bathroom in the manor, which had been specially fitted out at Stille's request, Xu Yi waved her away out of habit. To his surprise, instead of obediently withdrawing as usual, Linda stepped forward and reached out to help him undress.
Xu Yi frowned and snapped, "Linda, what are you doing?"
His tone seemed to startle Linda. She hastily stepped back, lowered her head, and said softly, "The mistress instructed me to..."
"Stille instructed you?" Xu Yi's frown deepened. After thinking it over, he decided Linda probably would not dare lie to him about something like this. "Why would she specifically tell you to do this? Doesn't she know I've never wanted you to do such things?"
