The shop selling Xinfei Mana Sedans was not inside Wimbledon City, but out in the suburbs, a full five kilometers from even the nearest gate, the southern gate.
It had ended up in such a remote location because space inside Wimbledon City was extremely scarce. Every inch of land was practically worth its weight in gold. Opening a shop there required not only solid connections, but also an enormous investment.
Displaying all the different Mana Sedans required a particularly large space, so after much deliberation, Billier had reluctantly chosen this remote location far from Wimbledon City and built his shop there instead.
Compared with opening a shop inside Wimbledon City, setting up here meant building every facility from scratch and even providing all the necessary infrastructure himself. The advantage, however, was that starting from nothing allowed Billier to build everything exactly as he wanted.
After more than two months of preparations, the shop, named the Billier Magic Locomotive Trading House, officially opened.
At first, business was sparse. Billier only managed a few sales by using his connection to Prince Frank to spread the word among Wimbledon City's small aristocratic circles.
But once the nobles of Wimbledon City discovered the tremendous convenience Mana Sedans offered, the vehicles quickly became a sensation among them.
Even the cheapest Mana Sedan cost at least fifteen hundred gold coins, yet demand still outstripped supply.
In its first month, the shop sold a mere seven Mana Sedans. Over the following two months, however, it sold an astonishing six hundred and thirty-eight, nearly a hundred times the first month's sales!
Moreover, that figure was growing at an astonishing rate. Buyers were no longer limited to Wimbledon City, either. Nobles elsewhere in the Candel Empire had heard the news and were arriving one after another to place orders.
