Gungnir Command Room

The heavy iron door made a dull airtight sound when it closed behind Kroge, isolating the running footsteps of Mortals and Space Marine in the corridor and the buzzing of the alarm.

The air was filled with the white mist of evaporated coolant and the pungent smell of ionized Ozone, and every pipeline on the ground was vibrating at an extremely high frequency.

The rebellious Fabricator-General of Mars Utio sat in front of the Control Console coiled by countless cables. The Control Console was cast from a single piece of pitch black alloy, with a mechanical matrix embedded in the surface that was performing high-speed calculations.

Utio's body is so huge that it is almost blasphemous. The body that is more than ten meters high is like a tower made of metal and flesh. The thick shoulder armor is covered with a coat of arms intertwined with brass and black iron. There is a shimmer of light flowing between the gaps in each piece of armor.

His body was covered with dense cables. Those cables protruded from the interface between Control Console and the ceiling, and penetrated into the interfaces on his back, side of neck and back of skull.

Every time data is transmitted, the lens array on his visor will flash a red light.

Right in front of him, a huge display array covering the entire wall was running simultaneously. Thousands of scrolling data streams were like countless silver streams, converging on the dark golden screen to form the current complete project status diagram of Gungnir.

"You mean, there is a Alpha Legion person who infiltrated into this great facility of ours and stole countless data on this precious, Machine God creation?" When Utio spoke, his voice was like rolling thunder rolling out from the furnace floor of the industrial area, low and rough.

Kroge stood at the entrance of Command Room, bowing slightly in the direction of Utio.

"This is my dereliction of duty and I will make up for this loss," he said.

Kroge did not defend himself. He knew that in front of Utio, any excuse would only prolong Judgment's pain.

"This is more than a dereliction of duty, Kroge." Utio's mechanical tentacles extend from the back, accurately connecting each Control Console.

The clicking sound when the end of the tentacle engages with the interface is like gears being tightened one by one.

The assistants were busy silently, transferring groups of data from the tentacles of Utio to the engineering core of Gungnir.

His voice became deeper, with a sense of oppression like metal fatigue. "Gungnir, this huge weapon is about the same size as a satellite, and its terrifying firepower is enough to destroy any Planet within the territory of Imperium."

A complete projection of Gungnir was brought up on the screen in time: the giant spear suspended in the darkness appeared even larger under the scale mark.

Next to it, a huge building opposite it kept flashing. It was the size comparison of the standard Imperium Star Fortress marked on the screen.

Gungnir is huge enough to cover the hundreds of kilometers of Star Fortress.

The black energy ball on the tip of the spear pulses slowly in the projection. The Warp power compressed into substance is like a circle of Lightning that is bound. The temperature contained in the depths of darkness is enough to tear a Planet Planetary Core into pieces.

Utio's tentacles paused for half a second, and the image on the screen switched to a set of thermal imaging records, which showed the last trajectory of Zorge before disappearing into the shadows in Lower Deck: "And now, in such a military facility, you leaked intelligence like this?"

He turned around, and the pair of mechanical pupils finally stopped on Kroge for the first time. "It's so sad, I really want to dig out your brain and see what's in your brain."

Kroge has no answer.

He stood silently, waiting for Utio's Judgment.

"...Gungnir has entered the final test firing stage." Utio's voice turned a corner, from a question to a statement, and then from a statement to a warning.

One of his tentacles turned to the monitor screen on the side of Command Room, which displayed a set of countdowns, chewing up the remaining time in milliseconds.

"After completing the test firing, we will officially enter the battle. You'd better pray that nothing happens during this period, otherwise I think you will be very happy to be the zero-distance test firing observer of Gungnir."

"Do you understand?"

Kroge's jaw tightened slightly, and then he nodded. The movement was very small, but it was clear enough. "... Understood."

"Very good, I'm going to negotiate with Mars's colleagues now. You should deal with this thing that got in on your own..." Utio finished speaking and stopped looking at Kroge.

His torso began to rotate toward the back of Control Console. The entire body made of metal made a low roar under the push of the hydraulic mechanism. Mechanical tentacles of various sizes were pulled out from Control Console and retracted to his back.

More tentacles stretch towards another gate behind Command Room, which is the passage into the deep Communications Array.

He is going to negotiate with Mars's colleagues.

No matter who he was negotiating with, Kroge knew that it meant that Utio had put Gungnir's test launch progress more seriously than the security of this base.

Zorge is not only a spy, but also a thorn in this huge war machine. If it is not removed as soon as possible, its owner will personally destroy the entire facility and everyone inside.

"Understood, Fabricator-General." Kroge's voice was still low, without any emotion.

He bowed and gave a brief but standard salute in the direction of Utio, and then took the initiative to exit Command Room.

When the airtight door closed behind him, the huge silhouette of Utio was gradually being swallowed up by the mechanical structure on the metal gate.

The air outside the corridor is slightly fresher than Command Room, but it still carries the smell of rust and engine oil.

Kroge stood at the door and paused in silence for a moment.

He raised his wrist and turned on Communications Channel. His voice was smooth and concise, without any unnecessary embellishments.

"Find that guy and don't let him escape from here alive."

Commands are sent to the entire facility's command sequence via communication signals.

Thousands of Space Marine stationed on Gungnir were all mobilized, just to find Zorge.

Zorge lurks in the shadows, looking for opportunities.

He had just used Spear to harvest the lives of more than a dozen lone rebel Space Marine. The tip of the spear with cold light was now stained with the blood of the traitor Space Marine.

"Everyone, chase Zorge and kill him at all costs..."

Zorge looked at the information terminal seized from the traitor Space Marine in his hand, thinking about the next countermeasures.

The latent plan has been completely bankrupt. Now it seems that all he can do is snatch a shuttle and leave Gungnir.

It's not like Zorge has never thought about guerrilla fighting with the enemy in this huge building, but Zorge knows that if the news here gets out one second later, Imperium's Planet will be even more in danger.

Once the traitor completes the test firing, the next target of this terrorist weapon will be Holy Terra.

Thinking of this, Zorge made a decision.
