"Lord Primarch! Look!"
"It's Angron! He's by the Hater's engines!"
Rockefeller, Chapter Master of the First Chapter, pointed toward the shattered warships in the distance and shouted.
"Don't be ridiculous. Angron is currently..."
"Holy shit, it really is Angron."
Lorgar turned toward where Rockefeller was pointing and spotted Angron drifting among the wreckage.
"Get out there and bring him back! Where are the stretcher teams? Move!"
Two transports hurriedly took off and pulled the half-dead Angron from the debris.
Lorgar, a group of officers, and the Doctor hurried over. In theory, a Primarch could fight in a vacuum for a long time.
That did not, however, cover cases like Angron's, where he had just endured nearly the full power of a Stars head-on.
The flames from the engines had charred Angron's body black. Fortunately, luck had been on his side, and his Primarch physique was extraordinarily resilient. After a few minutes unconscious, he regained some awareness.
Every Doctor and Tech-Priest attached to the Legion came running.
The Doctor came to examine Angron, while the Tech-Priests wanted to see whether they could collect his blood for analysis.
"His heart has resumed beating. His breathing is steady."
"His wounds are healing."
As they spoke, Angron woke up. He had just borne almost the entire weight of a Stars, and even Lorgar was astonished by his terrifying ability to recover.
"Where am I...?"
Angron woke on the operating table and stared at the countless people gathered around him, his mind blank for several seconds.
Then, with considerable effort, he managed to force out a few words.
"Did we... win?"
Only then did Lorgar snap out of his daze. Although he took just a nanosecond to answer Angron, that nanosecond was enough for him to recall a great many things.
"We won," Lorgar answered
