Magnus casually slipped the Lectitio Divinitatus onto a Library shelf, between an ancient tome studying the tidal cycles of the Warp and a scroll chronicling the fall of the Aeldari.

His movements were careless, as though the book did not deserve another glance.

Yet his fingers lingered briefly as they left its spine.

Just then, a familiar figure silently approached Magnus.

There had been no warning of his arrival. He simply stood quietly beside Magnus, a presence that seemed to blend into the shadows, almost invisible to the naked eye in the dim light.

"Magnus."

The familiar voice was low and calm, with a quality that made it seem to come from far away.

Magnus lowered his head and looked toward the voice, finding a face he knew all too well.

It was Amon, Company Captain of the Ninth Fellowship, commander of the Cult of the Blind, and Magnus's equerry.

He wore a suit of crimson Power Armour. His face was utterly ordinary, without a single striking feature—the sort of face that was difficult to remember even after seeing it many times.

But his eyes held an abyssal depth and vigilance.

"Amon, your abilities have grown stronger." Magnus regarded him with the admiration of someone appraising a meticulously polished work.

He could sense that Amon's ability to conceal himself had become even more refined.

Though he stood right before him, he gave the impression that he might vanish at any moment, as though his very presence were an illusion.

Magnus knew that Amon had once been the Grand Master of the Unseen, the Legion's mysterious reconnaissance vanguard.

Amon was exceptionally skilled at hiding in plain sight. He could conceal his presence completely
