"Lorgar! It's all over!"
Magnus's voice echoed through the hall. His body was gradually becoming transparent, his flesh turning into pure energy, his soul peeling free of that crimson shell and merging into the blue sphere of light spinning between his hands.
The sphere pulsed and swelled in his palms, countless intricate runes and shifting patterns of light flowing across its surface.
"The Warp is on my side! Victory is on my side!"
As he spoke, the blue sphere finished taking shape.
It no longer needed Magnus's hands to support it. It floated in midair on its own, radiating a soft yet dazzling blue light that bathed the entire hall in a glow like the depths of the sea.
At that moment, Magnus's body dissolved completely into a wisp of blue smoke, which the sphere drew inside.
His soul had merged entirely with the sphere, becoming part of it, becoming the vessel for the information it would carry across the universe.
"I will go to Terra! I will tell the Emperor everything that happened here!"
The instant his words ended, the sphere began to move. It shot upward at tremendous speed, like a shell fired from a cannon, shattered the blue crystal dome atop the Pyramid, and soared through a rain of crystal shards toward the dark Galaxy.
Its speed was staggering. It left a blue trail through the air, like a meteor flying upward, trailing a long plume of flame as it raced toward Terra.
"Don't even think about it!"
Lorgar's voice thundered out at that moment.
His body launched into the air, the six golden wings on his back unfurling at once. Six wings formed from pure light snapped in the darkness like six banners.
He followed close behind the blue sphere, bursting through the Pyramid's shattered dome
