Standard production line

In the Old Era, standard production factories had been widely adopted to meet the demands of the great expansion.

The core data used for production came from STC (Standard Template Construct) Templates.

Each template could contain different production data. All that was needed was to load it into the corresponding interface on a factory's production line and supply the indicated materials, and products would roll off the line in an endless stream.

Every standard production factory had at least three production lines, divided into large, medium, and small categories according to product size.

All production lines used layered printing technology. Unlike the Imperium's current production lines, they did not melt and weld materials, then piece them together bit by bit with screws and rivets.

Instead, they printed everything in one go.

Units that exceeded the standard dimensions used modular designs, such as Knights.

Large units had their various components manufactured in sections before final assembly.

Every module had standard interfaces that were fully interchangeable, allowing them to accommodate different situations.

The intricate equipment and structures of Old Era creations all relied on this manufacturing method. Their material properties did not vary significantly due to differences in smelting, either.

This formidable production technology had delivered endless legions of Automated Machines and tremendous combat power.

In the present-day Imperium, however, even equipment of the same model produced on two different Forge Worlds would differ somewhat in performance.

Many Imperial items supposedly built using STC Templates were actually products made from STC copies modified by the Adeptus Mechanicus.

The reason was very simple: standard construction factories were far too rare. The Imperium lacked the ability to rebuild these simple, efficient, and highly automated factories. Otherwise, it would never have needed so many monstrously oversized Forge Worlds. The Federation era had never had heaps
