Whenever the fleet returned to rest and refit, Iax installed the newly acquired spoils aboard the enormous ship still under construction.
The vast quantities of materials, along with the various production lines, industrial furnaces, and large manufacturing machines mixed among them, were installed in their designated positions as soon as they arrived.
The addition of more equipment continued to accelerate construction of the Giant Ship.
Meanwhile, the observers watching from the sidelines, unaware of the reason, marveled at the construction efficiency of the Men of Iron.
Soon, some Tech-Priests noticed a curious pattern.
Every time the Men of Iron fleet departed and returned, the Giant Ship's construction speed increased by twenty to forty percent.
Since it had begun fighting independently, the overall pace of construction had increased nearly fourfold.
The original estimate of twenty weeks had now become less than twenty days.
Where the ship had once looked different every day, it now felt as though an entirely new ship appeared each day.
Finally, after Iax returned from clearing out another two star systems, the Giant Ship was fully completed.
Upon his return, Iax silently studied the ship before him for a while, then added it to his fleet.
Industrial Ship IDS-01 — Super Flagship — Mechanicus Weaver (Substandard)
The enormous, arch-shaped hull resembled a triumphal arch, with identical profiles at the bow and stern.
The recess in the underside of the hull housed a reconstructed, enormous Shipyard.
It could build one standard flagship or work on two cruisers simultaneously.
This would give Iax the ability to construct ships on the move.
Its internal structure, however, was far more complicated than that of other Men of Iron Ships.
Numerous compartments, vast warehouses, and an enormous industrial deck made up the entire upper structure.
