"Yiyi, let's try a medicinal bath first and see how it works," Qin Xu said. "If there are no problems, we'll try taking it orally."

"All right," Ye Guyi agreed, though she clearly preferred taking it orally.

But Qin Xu could never agree to that. If anything went wrong with external use, there would still be a chance to salvage the situation. If something went wrong after she swallowed it, she would be done for. The medicinal potency of the Blazing Sun Spiritual Liquid was mild, but only compared to the Great Sun Pure Crystal. In truth, its effects were more ferocious than those of most spiritual medicines and immortal herbs.

Ye Guyi immediately climbed into the bathtub and submerged her entire body in the magenta water. She had long since run out of patience.

Her expression shifted from comfort to pain, and her Martial Soul appeared instantly. A pair of pure-white wings spread inside the bathtub, their feathers stained with magenta solution, creating a rather beautiful sight.

The angel wings were also completely submerged. The solution mixed with Blazing Sun Spiritual Liquid gradually grew calm, and the rising bubbles began moving downward instead, clinging one by one to Ye Guyi's skin. Her tender white skin, which outshone frost and snow, slowly reddened until she resembled a cooked prawn.

Yet the expression on Ye Guyi's face was strangely at odds with that sight. At some point, her pain had turned to happiness. Her beautiful eyes were half closed, and a faint smile curved her lips, as though she had slipped into a wonderful dream.

"It's not that." What else could Qin Xu say? Who could bear to refuse a little girl sweetly calling them big brother? He smiled. "Call me that if you want. I like it very much."

In terms of age, Ye Guyi was a few months older than Qin Xu, but that hardly mattered. After all, Qin Xu's mental age was certainly greater than hers.

Xue Zhao glanced at Qin Xu, then stepped forward and pulled Ye Guyi over. With a serious expression, she said, "Of course we were worried you might bully Yiyi. She was acting so strangely earlier. How could we possibly feel at ease?"

"Sister A Liang, it's all right. I'm back to normal now," Ye Guyi hurriedly explained on Qin Xu's behalf. "Thanks to Brother Xu, I feel fantastic!"

"Hmm..." Vielvi leaned close to Ye Guyi, studying her with a hand on her chin. "Yiyi really does seem different from this morning, but I can't tell exactly what's different. How strange!"

"Vielvi, you're awfully close." Ye Guyi shifted backward.

But Vielvi had already changed direction and run straight to Qin Xu's side. Her large eyes fixed on his face as she asked in an interrogating tone, "Xu, what exactly was in that little bottle you took out this morning? Why did it cause such a dramatic change in Yiyi?"

"A medicine called Blazing Sun Spiritual Liquid. I use it to temper my body," Qin Xu said with a smile, making no attempt to conceal it. "I didn't expect it to have such a strong effect on Yiyi, but don't worry. This is a good thing for her."

"What good thing? Tell us more," Xue Zhao immediately pressed. Vielvi nodded too. Both had completely ignored the first part of Qin Xu's explanation.

"It may benefit Yiyi's Martial Soul. I can't say exactly what those benefits are yet. We'll need time to verify them." Qin Xu kept his answer vague, then passed the ball to Ye Guyi. "Ask Yiyi if you don't believe me."

"Yiyi?" The two girls turned to look at Ye Guyi.

"Mm, Brother Xu is right. I feel that my Martial Soul has benefited." In truth, Ye Guyi was also quite confused. Her craving for Solar Essence came entirely from instinct. As for why she craved it or what it could do, she could not explain either.
