The entire station seemed to shudder. Spiderweb cracks spread across the ground as dust billowed everywhere. Wang Yu's body was embedded deep in the ground, folded into a grotesque shape. Blood seeped through the gaps in his Battle Armor, staining the ground red.
Most of his Battle Armor had shattered, exposing the mangled flesh beneath. He lay there like a heap of sludge, his faint breathing the only proof that he was still alive.
"I told you to stop! Why did you keep attacking?"
The burly man in uniform rushed up to Tang Wulin, seized him by the collar, and roared in fury.
He was a Major, a subordinate of Wang Yu's father who had been ordered to pick Wang Yu up at the station. He had arrived just in time to see his superior's son being brutally slammed around like a dead dog, and he immediately lost his composure.
Tang Wulin looked up at him, expressionless. "He wanted to kill me."
"Bullshit!" the Major roared. "You're a Three-Ring Soul Elder, and he's a Five-Ring Soul King. He wanted to kill you? Do you take me for an idiot?"
"He put on his Battle Armor," Tang Wulin said flatly. "One-Word Battle Armor. A Five-Ring Soul King wearing One-Word Battle Armor—what do you think he was trying to do? Spar with me?"
The Major choked on his words. He glanced at Wang Yu's wretched state on the ground, then at Tang Wulin, who did not have so much as a scratch. His face darkened until it looked as though water might drip from it.
Without wasting another word, Tang Wulin took out an emblem.
The Star Emblem!
The Federation had awarded it to him last time, honoring him for defeating an Evil Soul Master aboard a Soul Guidance Train and saving hundreds of people.
"That's... kid, who exactly are you?"
The Major was clearly rattled. He recognized the emblem.
"Whatever you say, this wasn't my fault. He bullied my parents first, and afterward, he even tried to kill me..."
Tang Wulin continued defending himself without any expression, then made to leave.
The Major's expression shifted back and forth. Wang Yu's father was his commanding officer, and his grandfather was a War God of the War God Temple. Now Wang Yu had been beaten into the state of a dead dog.
If he let Tang Wulin walk away just like that, he would be finished. He absolutely could not allow it.
"What kind of worthless emblem is that? I don't recognize it... that thing is only an emblem if someone acknowledges it. If nobody does, it's just an ordinary scrap of metal. Nothing at all."
"No matter what, you assaulted someone in public and seriously injured him. That's a grave crime!"
With that thought, the Major released Tang Wulin's collar, stepped back, and spoke coldly.
"I now suspect you're an Evil Soul Master using a child's body to conceal your identity. Men! Seize him on the spot!"
As his words fell, a rumble came from the distance. Two pitch-black mecha descended from the sky, landing in the station plaza and whipping up a fierce wind.
Immediately afterward, more than a dozen purple mecha arrived in succession, surrounding Tang Wulin and his parents.
Black-Grade Mecha! Purple-Grade Mecha!
The onlookers scattered in terror, fleeing far away. These were military-standard mecha. Every one possessed combat strength equivalent to a Soul Emperor, while the Black-Grade Mecha could rival a Soul Saint, or even a Soul Douluo.
With so many mecha deployed at once, forget a child—even a small team of Soul Masters would not be able to withstand them.
Tang Ziran and Lang Yue were restrained by two soldiers, their faces deathly pale. Lang Yue cried out, "Wulin! Run! Don't worry about us!"
"Fine, fine, fine. So this is the so-called Federation?"
Tang Wulin stood where he was, watching the growing number of mecha around him, his restrained parents, and the Major's smug sneer. The fire in his heart finally blazed.
He took a deep breath and closed his eyes.
Then he opened them.
His pupils had turned golden.
A terrifying aura erupted from him. Bloodline Power surged as though it had taken solid form, filling the air with suffocating pressure.
Golden scales emerged across half his body. His draconic might surged so powerfully that even the mecha began sounding alarms.
"Since you refuse to distinguish right from wrong..." Tang Wulin's voice was low, carrying an icy chill that did not belong to someone his age. "Then all of you can die."
He raised his hand, his golden dragon claw gleaming coldly in the sunlight.
The Major's expression changed drastically, and he instinctively stepped back. He suddenly realized that he might truly have provoked someone he should never have crossed.
Boom.
Tang Wulin pushed off with his toes and shot forward, the sheer force cracking the ground beneath him.
His figure darted through the mecha, moving so fast that his path was almost impossible to follow.
In his Berserk state, his strength continued climbing, Bloodline Power rushing through his body like boiling magma. With the combined amplification of Golden Dragon Body and Golden Dragon Tyrant Body, he looked like a humanoid Ferocious Beast clad in golden scales.
With Teleportation, he appeared before a Purple-Grade Mecha. He raised his Golden Dragon Claw high and slammed it down with a shriek that tore through the air.
Boom!
The Purple-Grade Mecha crumpled inward like a tin can struck by a massive hammer. Its outer shell shattered inch by inch, and the tremendous impact made the pilot cough up blood and pass out on the spot.
"Holy shit!"
The pilot of another Purple-Grade Mecha felt his pupils contract and instinctively tried to retreat. But Tang Wulin gave him no chance. His figure flashed, and another claw strike fell.
Boom!
The second Purple-Grade Mecha was reduced to scrap.
Expressionless, Tang Wulin kept moving, charging back and forth through the mecha. Every time his claw fell, another mecha became scrap metal. The defenses those Purple-Grade Mecha took such pride in were like paper before him.
"Th-this kid is fucking eight?!"
The voice of one Black-Grade Mecha pilot trembled. He had piloted Black-Grade Mecha for years and carried out countless missions, yet he had never witnessed anything so absurd. An eight-year-old child was dismantling mecha barehanded as though they were toys.
Tang Wulin ignored his shock. His gaze locked onto the two Black-Grade Mecha, and he drove off the ground, hurtling toward them like a cannonball.
"Stop him!" the major bellowed from a distance. "Fire the lasers!"
Both Black-Grade Mecha raised their arms at once, dazzling white light shining from their muzzles. Two thick laser beams carrying a destructive aura shot toward Tang Wulin, one after the other.
Tang Wulin's figure flashed as he used Teleportation to evade the first shot. But the second Black-Grade Mecha had already predicted where he would appear, and its laser beam struck him squarely.
Boom!
Flames burst outward, and dust billowed everywhere. Tang Wulin's figure vanished into the explosion.
"Is he dead?" The Major's eyes widened, delight stirring in his heart.
But a moment later, a golden light shone through the dust. Tang Wulin walked out completely unscathed, a pale golden halo enveloping his body like a god descending to earth.
His third Soul Skill, Invincible Golden Body. Three seconds of invincibility.
"Impossible!" the Black-Grade Mecha pilot shrieked. "He took that Laser head-on, and he's completely fine?"
Tang Wulin gave him no time to think. With Teleportation, he appeared before that Black-Grade Mecha, then swept his Golden Dragon Claw upward with terrifying force, tearing straight through its abdominal armor.
Metal fragments flew everywhere. The tremendous impact made blood pour from the pilot's seven orifices, and he lost consciousness on the spot.
The other Black-Grade Mecha pilot was scared out of his wits and frantically retreated. He stared at Tang Wulin as though looking at a monster. "You... what the hell are you?"
Tang Wulin did not answer. He merely raised his Golden Dragon Claw slowly and aimed it at him.
