Qingyun frowned when he saw Kakashi looking so dejected. "Kakashi, do you know why I stopped teaching you Chidori? Shisui could counter your Chidori because I taught him how. Do you know why I did that?"
"Why? Wasn't it because he's your disciple? That's why you taught him, isn't it? I admit it, I lost. I'm not as talented as him, and I don't deserve to be your disciple!"

Qingyun sighed helplessly, activated his Mangekyo, and grabbed Kakashi. With a turn of his eyes, they arrived atop Kage Rock. Qingyun then sat down and gazed at the scenery below.

If your ability to track movement isn't good enough, using it against an experienced ninja could get you killed in a single blow."
After a pause, Qingyun continued, "You're very talented, and there's no limit to what you could achieve. I didn't take you as my disciple because Minato's fighting style is very similar to yours. He's better suited to teaching you than I am.
"Besides, even if I'm not your teacher, would I refuse to help if you had questions or wanted to learn some ninjutsu? Teacher and disciple are just titles. You don't need to attach so much importance to them.
"And I didn't take Shisui as my disciple because he's far more talented than you. I had my own reasons, so you don't need to dwell on it."
