Today, he emerged from the laboratory and narrowed his eyes at the glaring sunlight outside. "You really won't give me any peace, old man. With so many people in Konoha, why do you keep singling me out?
"I really envy Tsunade and that idiot Jiraiya. They don't have to worry about anything and just wander around all day."
After lamenting for a while, Orochimaru shook his head and headed toward the Hokage Building.
In Yugakure, Shisui Uchiha and his two companions split up. Shizune went to question the families of the missing children, while Shisui Uchiha and Might Guy carefully searched the area surrounding Yugakure.
Time slipped by, and night slowly fell. Having found nothing after a full day of investigation, the three prepared to return to the Yugakure Village Chief's office to exchange information.
Shizune was walking toward the village office alone when a black-clad figure with a black cloth covering his face suddenly rushed at her from behind.
Sensing something amiss behind her, Shizune continued walking slowly forward without betraying any reaction. Within her, however, her internal force surged rapidly. When she sensed the black-clad man drawing close, she used Lingbo Micro-Step to evade his knife-hand strike, then immediately struck at him with Five Venom Divine Palm.
The black-clad man had not expected Shizune to react so quickly. Startled, he immediately used the Substitution Technique to avoid her strike.
But Shizune's attack was far from over. The instant he used the Substitution Technique, she keenly detected it and stirred her internal force. Poisonous internal force poured from her body, forming an impenetrable net that enveloped him.
The black-clad man had
