Nagato Uzumaki looked at Naruto and asked calmly.

Naruto stared blankly at Nagato Uzumaki, as though searching for an answer.

"If you want to kill me so badly, why save me? Aren't you afraid I'll start another war in the shinobi world once I recover? If that happens, you'll be guilty before the entire shinobi world!"

Nagato Uzumaki froze at Naruto's words, then looked at him in bewilderment. He wondered why Naruto would do such a thing, and stranger still, why all his murderous intent vanished when he faced Naruto. It was as though all his past negative emotions dissipated in Naruto's presence.

"Why do you insist on starting a war in the shinobi world? My dad, my uncle, and the Pervy Sage told me about you. Does peace really have to come through war? Why can't we understand each other and resolve our differences by talking?"

Naruto looked at Nagato Uzumaki expectantly, as though hoping his words would move him.

"Yahiko!!!"

Nagato Uzumaki's expression grew dazed at Naruto's words. For a moment, he seemed to return to those difficult yet happy days with Yahiko. But when he remembered what had happened to Yahiko, he shook his head sharply and shouted at Naruto, "You're naïve! If everything could be solved by talking, what do you train for?"
