Back when he was still weak, his greatest fear had been catching Danzo's attention and getting dragged into Root to be brainwashed. But now that he had grown stronger, he no longer feared Danzo much. If anything, he was a little reluctant to kill him.
There was no helping it. Danzo might not amount to much, but he was an incredibly useful liability on his own side. When it came to backstabbing, he was a true professional. His ability was nothing special, yet his ambitions were absurdly high. He could practically give the Ming dynasty's "God of War," Li Jinglong, a run for his money.
Keeping someone like that at Hiruzen Sarutobi's side was actually a good thing for Yan Uchiha.

Hiruzen Sarutobi and Minato Namikaze had only just fallen out yesterday over Rin Nohara. Hiruzen was now trying to figure out how to mend their relationship, but Danzo, far from helping, had turned around and dealt him a vicious blow.
If Hiruzen claimed he had nothing to do with tonight's events, would Minato believe him?

Who didn't know that Danzo was the dog Hiruzen had raised? Without Hiruzen's approval, would he dare lay hands on Minato's wife and student like this?
Even if Minato truly believed him, what came next? Would Hiruzen punish Danzo? If he really moved against Danzo, who would handle all his dirty work from then on? But if he left Danzo untouched, how could he possibly convince Minato?
Worse still, Minato was currently in Konoha, and Danzo had already dared to target the people closest to him. How could Minato ever leave the
