Night had fallen.
Once everything had been dealt with, Yan Uchiha said goodbye to Fugaku and headed home, feeling lighter than ever.
Of course he was happy.
After all the commotion that evening, the Uchiha had finally united. Every last person harboring other intentions had been weeded out.
From now on, he could issue orders without worrying that someone would stab him in the back at a critical moment. The Uchiha now answered to him as naturally as his own limbs, making them far easier to mobilize than before.
As for the useless fools who had been expelled, they had not gone entirely to waste.
Having Shisui bleed the Sarutobi Clan dry was the perfect way to get some use out of them.
Perfect.
When he reached his front door, Yan Uchiha suddenly paused before pushing it open and glanced toward the woods on his left.
"Minato, you've been hiding there for ages. Haven't you seen enough?"
"Don't stand outside. Come in for some tea."
With his current mastery of observation Haki, concealing oneself from his senses in this world was no easy feat. White Zetsu could not do it, and neither could Minato Namikaze.
Minato's Transformation Technique was indeed superb, masking even his breathing and the fluctuations in his body. But observation Haki was not ninjutsu. It was a sensory ability that could continuously monitor a vast area. The moment Minato changed positions, Jin Uchiha had noticed him.
Since the other man was not an enemy, however, he had not bothered to expose him.
Hearing the invitation, the man in the woods stopped hiding. A moment later, Minato Namikaze walked out openly.
With his blond hair, gentle smile, and a face that easily inspired goodwill, he really did have a disarming appearance.
"Yan, let me apologize first." Minato smiled.
