After leaving the Konoha Military Police Force, Shisui did not return directly to the Uchiha Clan Compound. He took a detour, stopped near Konoha's Shopping Street, and bought a skewer of dango, eating it slowly by the roadside.
It was a habit of his. After every covert mission, he needed a little time to unwind from the tension. The sweetness of the dango helped him relax.

After returning to the Uchiha District, Shisui went straight to Jin Uchiha's residence. Jin had not returned yet, so he waited in the study. He had been here many times, and each visit had found different scrolls and documents piled on the desk. Today, however, the desk was clear, with only a map on it.
Shisui leaned closer for a look. It was a map of the entire shinobi world, marked with several red dots. One was Kirigakure, another was Konoha, and one more... near the Land of Rain?
Before he could examine it closely, footsteps sounded outside the door.
Jin Uchiha pushed the door open. Seeing Shisui in the study, he gave a slight nod. "Any movement from Danzo?"
"Not yet. But I have an idea." Shisui turned around. "If Danzo wants to interfere before Mei Terumi meets the Third Hokage, what approach would he most likely take?"
Jin Uchiha walked to the desk and poured himself a glass of water. "There are only two options. Stop the meeting outright, or influence Mei Terumi's judgment beforehand. The first is too heavy-handed.
