Kurama confronted Naruto in the river of space-time and learned that Naruto had been warned of their future by his future self during the Chunin Ninja Exams. Naruto recounted that encounter, ending as Fire God showed him visions of what was to come.

Naruto witnessed a vision of the Nine-Tails leading a monstrous assault on humanity and learned that his future self had lost Kurama and joined forces with Sasuke and the three great sages to gain the power to fight him. The vision ended with Naruto’s future self confronting Kurama and unleashing Six Paths Samsara.

• Naruto saw Kurama command monsters made from humans as they attacked people and overwhelmed ninja led by Jiraiya.
• The Fire God explained that Naruto survived Kurama’s departure through Mount Myōboku’s natural energy and that Sasuke gave him his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

Naruto witnessed the truth of the battle between the Fire God and Kurama, including Kurama’s death after he used his soul to save Naruto. Kurama admitted he had engineered a catastrophe to make Naruto a savior, and Naruto asked whether the future Naruto Kurama described had ever really been him.

• The Fire God showed Naruto how he defeated Kurama, who secretly held back and later used his soul as chakra to heal Naruto before dying.
• Naruto learned that he could use Six Paths Samsara to restore the transformed people and ruined world, and he became known as the God of Humanity.

Naruto outwitted Kurama with a shadow clone while Kurama believed he was confronting Naruto in the river of time. After Naruto returned to the plaza with the gathered ninja, Kurama asked him to explain why his original body had come back from outer space.

• Naruto asked whether the Naruto Kurama cared about had ever been him, and the river of time trembled as the Nine-Tails reacted.
• The Nine-Tails knocked Naruto unconscious, resolved to keep Future Naruto outside the river of time, and planned to seize natural energy and Sasuke's eyes.
• The Nine-Tails shattered and swallowed a fragment of the river of time, then realized the shinobi world around him was an illusion.

Naruto and the Nine-Tails, now calling himself Menma, explained their actions and discussed the Nine-Tails' failed attempts to return to Naruto's lost past. The Nine-Tails revealed that he wanted Naruto to use Six Paths Samsara on him to unlock that past, and aimed a White Hole at everyone present.

• Naruto explained that after the Nine-Tails left his body, he traveled the universe to deal with Ōtsutsuki threats and practice his power, while a Shadow Clone remained in the Shinobi World.
• The Nine-Tails said he had devoured the God of Ōtsutsuki, which changed his appearance, and explained the connection between the Ōtsutsuki, God Trees, and Tailed Beasts.
• Naruto and the Nine-Tails bickered over their turn-taking questions before agreeing that the Nine-Tails could ask one extra question.
• Naruto explained that he had allowed the Nine-Tails to pursue his plan because he understood its purpose and held the Shinobi War so people could choose their own paths.
• The Nine-Tails revealed that he had sought to return to the past and save the Naruto who died in defeat, but that past was cut off from the current world.
• The Nine-Tails aimed a White Hole at Naruto and the others and asked Naruto to use Six Paths Samsara on him to unlock the past.

Naruto saved everyone from Kurama’s neutron-star attack, then sent Kurama and Himawari through the severed River of Time toward another space-time. Kurama’s Chakra reached a young Himawari fleeing Jura, where the two met again.

• Kurama threatened to destroy the planet unless Naruto used Six Paths Samsara, but Naruto destroyed the neutron star with Chakra gathered from his Shadow Clones across the universe.
• Naruto revealed that the future Naruto had severed the River of Time and gave Kurama a way to return to his own space-time.
• Kurama accepted that he would lose his memories and power when he crossed, and Naruto revealed that Himawari’s soul would guide him through the chaos.
• Kurama and Himawari entered the fractured River of Time, while Naruto’s future self disappeared after thanking him.
• Kurama’s Chakra eventually reached a young Himawari fleeing Jura with Shikaku and Sajin, and she encountered the young Nine-Tailed fox in her inner world.
