Kabuto was a little surprised. Although the only other person here was Orochimaru in the culture tank, he was merely Orochimaru's subordinate. He had never expected Reshape's Leader to summon him personally.
Could it be about Lord Orochimaru's current condition? But the experiment only just started. Is it really that urgent?
Light reflected off his glasses, hiding his eyes as he looked toward Uchiha Izumi and giving him the air of a mad scientist.
"Besides you, could there possibly be anyone else here?"
Uchiha Izumi tilted her head. Most of Otogakure's villagers were children Orochimaru had taken in or members of his forces, but Orochimaru did not trust them. Even Guren and the others currently managing the village in his stead would never receive any information about his experiments.
They did not even dare enter Orochimaru's room on an ordinary day, let alone his Laboratory.
More importantly, as a member of the Reshape Organization, Orochimaru's current condition was highly classified. Apart from Kabuto, only the Leader and Uchiha Izumi could enter this room safely.
Never mind coming here; anyone who showed undue curiosity about this place would probably disappear from the village without anyone noticing.
"All right. I'll go as soon as I finish up here."
Having confirmed that he was the one being summoned, Kabuto quickly nodded and answered with great respect.
The Reshape Organization was unlike most secret organizations. Apart from the Leader, it had virtually no officers of differing ranks, but Uchiha Izumi was clearly different from the others in the Reshape Organization. She knew the Leader's identity.
The Leader treated her more like a partner than a subordinate.
Even without anyone telling him, Kabuto, who excelled at gathering intelligence, could recognize that.
He would therefore never forget his place and start bargaining
