Knock, knock. Just then, someone knocked on the office door.
"Come in."
"Principal Dave..." A black-haired young man walked in, looking down at Dave with an embarrassed expression.
"Oh, Ise. Is something wrong?" Dave asked with a smile.
Ise was one of the refugees the Land of Fire had taken in over the past few years. Since he had decent medical skills, Kakuzu had found him and hired him as the Kindergarten's medical staff. Why hadn't Kakuzu hired a doctor from a hospital? Well... expensive...
Apparently, he was originally from the Land of Rain, but in recent years, a young man named Hanzo of the Salamander had left everyone there on edge. Some of its people couldn't stand living like that anymore and had fled.
"Where... am I supposed to live...? After Mr. Kakuzu told me to come here, I couldn't find him again... I even slept at the Internet Cafe last night," Ise asked awkwardly.
"Perfect timing. This is our Kindergarten's new teacher, Uzumaki Fusang. Fusō, why don't you take Ise over to have a look too? The room numbers are marked there. Oh, right, here are your keys. I have something urgent to take care of, so I'll head home first." Dave smiled, took two keys out of his drawer, and handed them to the pair.
"Principal Dave, is it something urgent at school? I can help too," Ise asked hastily. After fleeing the Land of Rain, he had heard that things were good in the Land of Fire. But after spending several months living as an actual refugee, he was reluctant to let go of the stability offered by the job he had finally found.
"Hahaha, no, no. My wife is pregnant, seven months along already. I need to hurry home and look after her." Dave laughed
