After the funeral
"Danzo, where's Hiruzen?" Dave walked into the Hokage Office and asked Danzo, who looked thoroughly harried.
"...At ANBU. He hasn't come out all day..." Danzo said wearily. ANBU had taken in more people these past few days, which meant more work. That should have been the director's responsibility, but now the director refused to leave his office or see anyone, so everything had fallen into Danzo's lap...
"...Didn't you try talking him out of it?" Dave sighed and sat down nearby.

"Don't give them to me. Give them to little Monkey," Madara said flatly, looking at the Sharingan.
"Huh?" Dave asked, taken aback.
"Doesn't he feel he's let them down? Give him these eyes. Let him spend the rest of his life under their watch. If anything like this happens again, I'll skin him myself!" Madara slammed the desk and roared, then turned to leave.
"And tell him he doesn't need to feel sorry toward them. They were the Uchiha's most loyal members. They don't need anyone's apologies."
At ANBU...
"Lord Madara... Did he really say that...?" Hiruzen asked
