"Toothache?" Mitsuki looked at Obito in confusion.
"Yeah..." With half his face swollen, Obito nodded pitifully.
Beside him, Rin gently held an ice pack against his face.
"Have you been eating too many sweets lately?" Mitsuki asked helplessly.
"Yeah..." Obito nodded. He had been helping out at Rin's family shop every day lately, and her enthusiastic father always invited him to stay for dango.
"A toothache? Just pull it out, right?" Hidan picked up a kunai and pried out one of his own teeth.
"You think everyone's like you?" Asuma exhaled a puff of smoke, speechless.
"Speaking of which, Hidan, can't you feel pain?" Obito asked curiously, taking a kunai and slitting Hidan's throat.
"My father cut my pain nerves years ago to save money," Hidan said cheerfully, holding his own head.
"Right... I was wondering how a freak like you came about." Obito shook his head helplessly.
"We'll take you to the hospital this afternoon." Mitsuki waved them off, signaling that class was starting.
Nanako was very happy that day, because she had not called a single parent all day.
It was also the only day in Obito's entire kindergarten life when no parent had been called in.
Yeah, his tooth really hurt... He behaved himself.
After school, the little beasts of burden ran to the hospital.
"Hey, Kakashi, Guy! We came to see you!" Obito cheerfully greeted the two in their hospital room.
"Obito! Do you want to experience youth with me too?" Guy asked, his face contorted as he hooked a dumbbell onto each foot.
"No, no..." Obito hurriedly shook his head.
"What brings you here? Don't tell me you came out of the kindness of your heart. I'm not buying it," Kakashi asked with a dry chuckle.
"I come to visit you, and you slander me?
