"The three of them got arrested?" Dave answered the phone in utter bewilderment.
"Um, Father-in-law... ahem, um... it's okay for me to call you that now, right? Anyway, ever since they were brought in, they've been dropping your name. Could you come over and bail them out?" Fugaku asked awkwardly.
"Nope. I have no use for those three right now. Just find some excuse to brush them off and lock them up for however long they deserve," Dave said with a chuckle.
"Will do."
"Your Lord Dave isn't around right now, so he can't come. Under the law, you three were the source of this incident. Serve about three years, and you'll be free to go," Fugaku said slowly, hanging up and dropping his forced smile as he looked at the three men in the cell.
"What?! Why are you locking us up? We were running a legitimate business! There's nothing wrong with that!" Gan asked, his eyes wide.
"Say that again? A legitimate business? What legitimate business gets 503 people arrested in one go?" Fugaku asked with a chuckle.
In the neighboring cell, Kagami shook his head helplessly...
"Dad, can we stop pulling this kind of nonsense from now on?" Shuiwen asked helplessly, looking at his father on the hospital bed.
"Dad, you're my own father! What kind of father sends his own son to jail?!"
"What nonsense! You're my own son, aren't you? What kind of son personally throws his bedridden, seriously ill father into jail?!"
"Shuiwen, come out. I can't handle all the work at the station alone." Fugaku's arrival interrupted their touching display of familial affection.
"Heh, Dad, I'll bring you your meals. I won't keep you company for now." At those words, Shuiwen perked right up, shook out his police uniform, and raised his eyebrows
