"Yeah! Work out every last bit I owe you, with all the interest! I'm gonna fuck your * good and proper today!" Mu shouted excitedly, flinging Kakuzu's hand away.
The poor guy was so worked up he could barely speak coherently, let alone politely.
"Sure, sure, sure. As long as you pay me back, I'll tell you where my mother's grave is!" Kakuzu nodded eagerly, completely unbothered.
Then Kakuzu took out his phone and began working out the figures on its calculator.
The more Mu watched Kakuzu's excitement, the angrier he got. He turned and went back inside his house.
"Hey, you're not going to skip out on your debt, are you?" Kakuzu smiled at Mu's retreating back, making a rare joke in his cold voice. Given how Mu had acted today, even using Dust Release, Kakuzu knew he wouldn't dodge his debts this time.
Mu presented him with a thoroughly imposing retreating figure, but said nothing. He went back into his house without closing the door.
Kakuzu looked away and continued calculating how much Mu owed.
Soon, footsteps sounded. Without even looking up, Kakuzu knew Mu had come back out.
"Why are you out already? I haven't finished calculating. You've really outdone yourself over the years. I've only gotten through twenty-odd years of Konoha's history," Kakuzu said mildly without raising his head.
"Black-Faced Buckle Ghost! Fuck your *!"
Hearing that roar, Kakuzu looked up in bewilderment. The instant he did, something struck him hard across the face.
Kakuzu was about to fly into a rage when recognition suddenly dawned. Wait, that familiar feeling... what hit me? What was it? That felt so familiar...
Kakuzu whipped his head around to look at the ground. A heap of ryo lay scattered there, with no one picking it up. He raised his
