For the first time, Mu looked at a balance with several zeroes on his phone. He did not know whether to feel happy or bitter. Happy, because this was the first time in decades he had seen that many zeroes in his account.

"Hahahahaha!" Mu could no longer contain his wild joy and burst out laughing.

"What the f*ck are you laughing at next door?! It's the middle of the night! Are you going to let anyone sleep?!" Hearing laughter like a ghost's wailing coming from next door in the dead of night, his neighbor sent over a very friendly greeting.

Veins bulged on Mu's forehead. I used to put up with that idiot next door, but now that I'm rich, you still dare curse me out? Then what was the point of scamming all that money?!

Mu immediately kicked away the hard plank bed above him, the cheap one he had bought at the Supermarket and slept on for decades. He brought his hands together, his face beneath the bandages twisted with madness as he aimed at

That cry of Dust Release vented decades of Mu's bitterness and an endless torrent of pent-up emotion.

Far away at the Love Kidney Company, Kakuzu seemed to hear a sound long buried deep within his heart. He sprang up and rushed toward the location his five hearts sensed.

When Kakuzu reached the place his hearts had detected and saw the clean, square-cut ruins left by some unknown ninjutsu, all five of his hearts began pounding.

The house had been cut apart cleanly and precisely, as though sliced by something incredibly sharp. In the middle of the neatly shaped ruins, a young man huddled in a corner, utterly dumbfounded.
