Ōnoki slowly raised his head to stare at the ceiling above his bed, his face expressionless.
The atmosphere was painfully awkward, while Kakuzu sat cheerfully on a nearby bed, grinning as he watched it all unfold.

The door to the hospital room burst open, and the Iwagakure shinobi who had accompanied Ōnoki on this trip swarmed anxiously inside.
