"Have you located the Eight-Tails?"
After settling their respective roles, Obito left Amegakure and met with Zetsu and Kisame at the lowest level of the Mountainous Cemetery.
"Hehehe, we have. The Eight-Tails Jinchuriki, Killer B, is under the Raikage's protection in Kumogakure's Valley of Clouds and Lightning. But are you sure you want to capture him yourself? We could send Orochimaru to test the waters first."
A figure with a black-and-white face slowly emerged from the ground. This was Zetsu, who handled intelligence gathering.
Although Obito's Kamui could make his body intangible, Black Zetsu still had his concerns about whether Obito's offensive power alone could handle the Eight-Tails' Perfect Jinchuriki. After all, the Eight-Tails arguably had the strongest vitality of all the tailed beasts.
If Obito failed to defeat the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki, his lie about being Madara would fall apart.
Having already waited thousands of years, Black Zetsu could no longer bear the thought of anything going wrong with his plans.
"Orochimaru's loyalties are unclear. Trusting him recklessly could easily leave us deceived. Besides, who said I was going to deal with Killer B myself?"
Obito rejected Black Zetsu's suggestion. He was even warier of Orochimaru than he was of Pain.
After all, Obito had practically orchestrated everything about Pain himself, whereas there were far too many unknowns surrounding Orochimaru.
Obito did not know how strong Orochimaru was, why he wanted to help him, or what his true objective was.
Obito could not trust a man like that.
As he spoke, Obito looked toward Kisame Hoshigaki, who stood nearby.
"Hehehe, if he's a Perfect Jinchuriki, his chakra must taste even better. My great sword and I can hardly wait."
Kisame had ample experience and methods for dealing with jinchūriki. All Obito needed to do was deliver him there unnoticed.
