Finishing the Fight

"Iron-toothed Insects, tear them apart!"

At Liu Feng's command, 400,000 Iron-toothed Insects swept toward the people on the wall like a raging tornado.

At first, everyone was merely puzzled. But when the silver cloud turned into a silver tornado and hurtled toward them, they were instantly dumbstruck.

Bang, bang, bang!

Rat-a-tat-tat!

Gunfire erupted amid the panic. But attacks of this caliber were nothing to the enormous swarm of Iron-toothed Insects.

Watching his men descend into chaos, Long Si's heart leaped into his throat. His clenched fists were slick with sweat.

"Don't panic! Everyone, hold steady!"

No sooner had Long Si spoken than the Iron-toothed Insects under Liu Feng's control changed direction and flew straight toward him.

The sight of the Iron-toothed Insects before him sent a chill through Long Si's body.

"Fucking die, all of you!"

As Long Si roared, the overwhelming swarm of Iron-toothed Insects engulfed him. A series of crunching sounds followed, and then foul-smelling blood flowed out.

In less than a minute, the Iron-toothed Insects slowly dispersed. Only a puddle of blood remained on the wall.

The outrageously arrogant Long Si had vanished before everyone's eyes.

The bizarre sight nearly drove everyone on the wall mad. They shouted and tried to flee, only for the situation to change again.

Liu Feng swept his hand, and nearly 10,000 Spine Crawlers appeared atop the wall. Moving at incredible speed, each picked a target and coiled tightly around them.

In the blink of an eye, five or six people had already been constricted so tightly that they could no longer breathe.

Then the Toad Army and the army of Parasitic Insects joined the battle. In less than ten minutes, the massive insect army had wiped out everyone on the wall.

Below the wall, Liu Honggou and Little Shorty held their breath at the astonishing sight, not daring to utter a word.

Once the battle was over, Liu Feng finally emerged from deep within the forest. Looking at the astonishment written across Liu Honggou's face, he curved his sharply defined, thin lips into a faint smile.

"Brother Liu, how have you been?"

Liu Honggou watched Liu Feng warily, his mind racing as he tried to work out who he was.

"May I ask who you are?"

Liu Feng smiled and said loudly with feigned warmth, "Brother Liu, it hasn't been that long, and you've already forgotten me! It's me, Liu Feng. We fought side by side in the Hengduan Mountains!"

Liu Feng?

The Hengduan Mountains?

Hearing this, Liu Honggou grew uneasy.

The Hengduan Mountains lay just east of A58 Camp.

Whenever he went out to hunt Mutant Beasts, he usually headed to the Hengduan Mountains. There, he had encountered plenty of survivors who seemed to have the same purpose.

He looked Liu Feng up and down, quietly weighing his options.

Over the years, he had met countless people in the Hengduan Mountains. Although the name Liu Feng was unfamiliar, since the man had brought it up, he could only play along. What if he really had forgotten him?

With that thought, Liu Honggou immediately smiled and nodded. He struggled to his feet, then hurried over to Liu Feng.

"I remember now! You're Liu Feng! We hunted Mutant Beasts together in the Hengduan Mountains. How could I possibly forget?"

Liu Feng slung an arm around Liu Honggou's shoulders and said with a smile, "That's what I thought! Brother Liu, we're such good friends. How could you possibly forget me?"

After exchanging pleasantries, even Liu Feng was starting to believe they really had met before!

Liu Honggou suddenly turned and pointed at the silver Iron-toothed Insects floating in the air.

"Brother, are those insects yours?"

Liu Feng nodded.

"Holy shit, you're incredible!"

Liu Feng smiled and said with feigned nonchalance, "Brother Liu, that memory of yours! I'm a Summoning Type Gene Warrior. Isn't summoning these perfectly normal?"

Hearing this, Liu Honggou froze on the spot.

"A G-Gene Warrior?"

"That's right!" Liu Feng nodded. "What's wrong with being a Gene Warrior?"

Liu Honggou's face alternated between pale and flushed. Overcome with excitement, he gripped Liu Feng's hand tightly. Then he told Little Shorty to open the gate and insisted on pulling Liu Feng into A58 Camp.

Watching this, Little Knife covered her mouth and couldn't help laughing aloud.

It had all been that simple.

When Liu Feng and his sizable group entered the A28 Gathering Place, they were stunned by the bustling scene before them.

Shop after shop lined the long street. Vendors' cries mingled with the sounds of bargaining, creating a thriving marketplace.

"Oil-paper umbrellas! Come take a look if you're interested!"

"Goubuli buns made with Mutant Beast meat! Come have a taste!"

"Guns and ammunition, essential for self-defense! Come inside if you need any!"

"Survivors for hire! The perfect helpers for your missions outside!"

Listening to the vendors calling around him, Liu Feng sank into thought.

The A58 Gathering Place, which outsiders regarded as a terrifying menace, wasn't actually that frightening. On the contrary, everything here seemed even more prosperous than he had imagined.

Under Liu Honggou's guidance, Liu Feng and his group arrived at his residence.

The residence was particularly grand, apparently an old building that had been renovated. In the apocalypse, however, a residence like this certainly qualified as luxurious.

After inviting Liu Feng to sit down, Liu Honggou beamed at him.

"Brother, you saved my life. If you hadn't stepped in today, I'm afraid I really would've been done for!"

Liu Feng smiled and waved a hand with feigned indifference. "Brother Liu, it was nothing. It's not even worth mentioning!"

Then Liu Feng changed the subject, looking at Liu Honggou with a playful smile. "Brother Liu, I helped you get rid of a major threat today. As for the one who's left, do you need me to..."

At these words, Liu Honggou's eyes immediately lit up with excitement.

"Brother, you've said exactly what I wanted to hear!" With tears and snot streaming down his face, Liu Honggou looked at Liu Feng and continued, "But Zerui is also a Gene Warrior. What if..."

"What?" Liu Feng's gaze sharpened, and his brows furrowed. "There's actually a Gene Warrior?"

Liu Honggou nodded solemnly.

Liu Feng smiled and said quietly, "Brother Liu, don't be afraid. Since I'm here today, I won't let you down! Leave this Gene Warrior to me!"

Hearing this, Liu Honggou's eyes instantly narrowed into slits.
