It flew by floating in the air on its fluffy cotton spores, drifting with the wind much like a dandelion. Those spores could control its flight even in a hurricane.
Temperature also had a tremendous effect on it. It flew easily in warm conditions, but cold air would force it back down to the ground.
This also fit its Ability perfectly. Chlorophyll doubled its speed in sunny weather, which was why Sunflora had been sent out first.
"Jumpluff, Poison Powder! Stun Spore!" The opposing Pokémon Trainer issued his commands as soon as Jumpluff appeared.
Under the sunlight, Jumpluff moved incredibly fast. In the blink of an eye, it flew above Jynx and scattered powders of various colors.
"Jynx, Icy Wind! Blow all that stuff away!" Wen Xiumin was startled by its speed too. Compared with Sunflora, which had stood rooted to the spot earlier, this was the other extreme.
She had no confidence in landing a hit on Jynx, so she could only target the powders instead. If that stuff landed on her own Pokémon, things would get ugly.
But Jumpluff was extraordinarily fast. It kept circling above Jynx, nimbly dodging the Icy Wind while cleverly finding blind spots through which to scatter its powders.
Eventually, Jynx was caught by some Stun Spore. A deluge of assorted powders immediately followed, and after scattering another round, Jumpluff swiftly retreated.
From a safe distance, it began gathering energy for Solar Beam.
This move needed time to charge, but under the effects of Stun Spore, Cotton Spore, and various other hindrances, Jynx could neither fight back nor dodge. In the end, two consecutive Solar Beams knocked it out of the battle.
"Isn't that just unfair? How can something so tiny be that fast?" The spectators looked utterly bewildered, all at a loss over
