Its talent truly was exceptional. Even before evolving, it had reached Elite Class despite its low base stats.
Afterward, the high-quality Ice Stone and Icy Rock obtained from the Underground Passage had given its strength a brief period of rapid growth.
Now at mid Elite Class, it had caught up to Alcremie despite starting later and was even close to matching Sylveon.
Sylveon, after all, was still stuck at Peak Elite Class, while Alolan Vulpix still had a chance to evolve.
The blizzard intensified again, and Alolan Vulpix's white figure gradually disappeared into the swirling snow. This was its other ability, Snow Cloak.
Honda's expression darkened at once. He had finally dealt with Milotic and thought the snow could stop, only for an Alolan Vulpix to show up and keep it falling?
Was he supposed to have any chance at all?

A lizardlike dinosaur with a blue body and black fur appeared on the field. Less than a meter tall, it radiated an ominous aura.
This species was relatively rare. Deino had such poor eyesight that it could barely see anything. It could only charge around blindly, eating whatever it ran into. Anything edible was fair game, making it an extremely dangerous Pokémon.
However, as an Awakened, Honda could guide Deino's behavior himself. As long as he also provided enough food, it was not much of a problem.
Deino grew very slowly, though. It generally had to reach Gym Leader Class before its first evolution, making it unsuitable for novice Pokémon Trainers.
As such, this Deino was not particularly strong. It was only at late Elite Class and was clearly waiting for its final breakthrough.
"Deino, Focus Energy!" Deino was slow to begin with, so Honda did not rush
