Kazemori Masaki sat in his office, reading the intelligence Hatake Sakumo had sent back. It detailed everything the Konoha exchange students had done in Amegakure Ninja Village and some of the changes they had brought about. Hanzō's message had also reached Masaki through Sakumo's channels.
Masaki supported the educational reforms Hanzō intended to implement. They could strengthen Amegakure Ninja Village to a certain extent, and that extent was precisely what Konoha Ninja Village was willing to allow.
The Land of Rain was both a place where Konoha Ninja Village conducted business and a buffer between nations when war broke out. Unlike other nations, Konoha would not treat the Land of Rain as nothing more than a battlefield. Although that was part of its purpose, they were willing to fight alongside Amegakure Ninja Village. As such, Amegakure needed a certain amount of strength, or Konoha would have to shoulder all the pressure.
Masaki wrote his reply, explaining that the exchange students could teach them what they had learned at the Ninja Academy. If they needed official teaching materials, however, Amegakure Ninja Village would have to purchase them through official channels, after which Konoha Ninja Village would send them over.
Setting down his pen, Masaki let out a long breath and leaned quietly against the back of his chair. Remembering what the letter had said about Asuna's performance, he felt rather pleased. He had thought his daughter, who rarely liked talking to others, might have difficulty interacting with the Amegakure ninja. From the looks of it, though, she was doing her best to guide them.
