At first, the Nine-Tails thought that as Mito approached death, her power would inevitably weaken, giving him a chance to break the seal and escape this cage, just as he had tried during her last childbirth. His joy was short-lived, however, for he learned that Mito Uzumaki had already found another vessel to keep him sealed away.

He could not help letting out a roar, but in this empty mindscape, he could not stir so much as a breeze. Only the chains rattled. Beneath the powerful Adamantine Sealing Chains, not a trace of his mighty chakra could escape.

All the Nine-Tails could do was glare at Mito with his bloodshot eyes, as though he could kill her with his gaze. He growled, "Mito Uzumaki... you damned woman. You're almost dead, and you still insist on keeping me here!"

There was a hint of apology in Mito's eyes, but her resolve remained firm. "Nine-Tails, to be honest, I bear you no ill will. But as my husband said, your power is simply too great. Now that he has passed away, no one in the village can keep you under control."

"That is all your fault!" Whenever the Nine-Tails recalled what had happened to him, a rage that urged him to destroy everything surged through his heart. "If not for Madara Uchiha and Hashirama Senju, how could I have fallen this low? And you shameless humans even sought to use my power, sealing me inside your body!"

Mito did indeed feel that she had wronged the Nine-Tails in this matter. She knelt quietly, looking up at him. "Nine-Tails, I once believed you were a nightmare to the entire world. So, to protect everyone else, I had no choice but to become your nightmare."

The Nine-Tails narrowed his eyes slightly and sneered inwardly.
