The lonely shadow stood at the center of the island. Reality and illusion touched, and past and future met again. Three unspeakables representing different Blood Cities attacked with all their might. Three entirely different sets of rules intertwined on the island filled with regret, and through a series of coincidences, a beam of light shone on the shadow once more.
The Giant Whale rolled through the Fog Sea, her vast body blotting out heaven and earth as she stirred up hundred-meter waves of fog. "She" was happier than anyone.
The shadow stood alone, his back turned to the whale the entire time. Even as the Giant Whale approached again and again, he remained unmoved.

"Did he just say the Giant Whale insisted on keeping a corpse company? This island that gathers the Deep World's imperfections is actually his corpse?" Astonishment colored Number Two's voice. He had seen plenty, but he had truly never witnessed anything like this.
The Giant Whale approached again and again, yet could not touch the shadow. She did not seem to demand anything, either. Like an old mother worn out
