"You're pretty good at hiding." Gao Ming sat inside Eternal Life Pharmaceuticals' employee apartment building, looking at the foulmouthed brat before him. "Mr. Zhang, hiding right under their noses was a brilliant move."
"That ** Number Zero, I'll * its **." The child cursed as he collapsed to the floor. The tall, thin Zhang Mingli emerged from his shadow. His form was indistinct, as though he might dissipate at any moment, but Gao Ming sensed that he was much stronger than before.
After they parted in Dreamfold Town, Number Zero had begun hunting Zhang Mingli. He had absorbed all the curses and various powers the Saviors had left him, barely managing to survive until now.
"You should be much stronger than Hatred by now, right?"
"What damn good does that do? I'm still a long way from becoming an unspeakable. Besides, I don't believe in any of that. Even if I became an unspeakable, I wouldn't set up some shrine for myself." Zhang Mingli, a teacher of moral education, was a staunch atheist. In his view, those unspeakables were merely souls that had reached a higher dimension, and his own spiritual outlook had always been lofty. "Did you come all this way specifically to save—find me?"
"Hanhai Blood City has been reestablished. I'm heading to Xinhu to help you bring back the Saviors."
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!"
At Zhang Mingli's insistence, they immediately headed to the Garbage Processing Plant. But by the time they arrived, Garbage Valley had already been leveled and planted with vegetation that could cleanse the soil.
While Gao Ming had been back in Hanhai, the Taboo Players had suffered devastating losses. Even their main hideout had been unearthed.
"I know other ways in." At this point, Zhang Mingli no longer concealed anything.
