As the discussion turned to the mission, everyone's expression grew serious. They were going up against a very high-level Toxicroak, after all. One careless mistake could put their lives at risk.
"My main Pokémon is a Typhlosion, currently level 39. I also have two Pokémon above level 36: Honchkrow and Kingler."
Having suggested that they get to know each other's Pokémon, Yuwen Tian took the lead and volunteered information about his own team.
"Honchkrow is currently level 37, and Kingler just reached level 36. Those are my main Pokémon right now."
"You've got some excellent Pokémon, young man. This old fellow's envious." Zheng Hao looked at Yuwen Tian's Starter Pokémon with envy. Back when he had first started raising Pokémon, he hadn't had access to such a fine starter.
Once Yuwen Tian finished introducing his Pokémon, Zheng Hao followed up by describing his own main team.
"My main Pokémon is a level 41 Muk. My other two stronger Pokémon are Slowbro and Golem. Slowbro is currently level 39, and Golem is level 40."
Zheng Hao's Pokémon were somewhat stronger than Yuwen Tian's, but they fell far short in potential and rarity. Most of Zheng Hao's main Pokémon were fairly common species.
After Yuwen Tian and Zheng Hao finished introducing their Pokémon, Zhang Cheng released his three as well. "My main Pokémon are Poliwrath, Pidgeot, and Swampert. They're all level 40."
"Your Pokémon are already that strong!" Hearing that all three of Zhang Cheng's Pokémon had reached level 40 stunned Yuwen Tian. Raising several Pokémon at once took a great deal of effort.
