"Ampharos, use Protect!"
Facing the Aura Spheres fired by Mega Lucario, Zhang Cheng knew dodging was impossible. Blocking them with Protect was his only option. If Ampharos took another hit now, it would be knocked out.
"Baa baa~ Baa baa~"
With its wealth of battle experience, Ampharos remained calm in this situation. At its Trainer's command, it swiftly gathered energy to form a transparent barrier.
Shortly after the Protect barrier appeared, a barrage of Aura Spheres struck, their wondrous aura hammering against it.
Still, the barrier Ampharos had created was fairly sturdy. Mega Lucario's Aura Spheres could not break through it right away.
"Mega Lucario, don't give Ampharos a chance to attack! Keep using Aura Sphere!"
Ye Tian had Mega Lucario continue firing spheres of aura, denying Ampharos any openings.
Mega Lucario nodded, but just as it prepared to gather energy and fire more Aura Spheres, its entire body suddenly went numb.
Ampharos's earlier Zap Cannon had inflicted paralysis on Mega Lucario. Now the paralysis kicked in, abruptly interrupting its attack.
"Now's our chance! Ampharos, use Thunder!"
This was precisely the opening Zhang Cheng had been waiting for. With Mega Lucario immobilized by paralysis, Ampharos had a chance to counterattack.
Of course, there was an element of gambling involved. If Mega Lucario's paralysis had not kicked in, Ampharos would have been forced to keep defending, with no chance to fight back.
"Baa baa! Baa baa!"
Ampharos also knew this was its only chance. Even as Zhang Cheng gave the command, it was already building up a dense mass of Electric-type energy.
That energy formed a phantom thunder dragon above Ampharos's head. Once it appeared, the dragon opened its fang-filled jaws and lunged at Mega Lucario.
Immobilized, Mega Lucario could do nothing but watch as the thunder dragon swept toward it.
