Early that morning, roused by his alarm, Zhang Cheng got up, washed, and rode Pidgeot to the Challenge Tower.

Zhang Cheng was already thoroughly familiar with the Challenge Tower. From his Beginner Trainer assessment until now, he had competed here five times.

Thinking back to his first trip to the Challenge Tower with Ye Tian, Zhang Cheng could not help feeling wistful. The place was the same, but everything else had changed.

Pidgeot was fast, reaching Modu's Challenge Tower in less than an hour.

After entering the Challenge Tower, Zhang Cheng made his way to the staff desk with practiced ease to register. Once he was registered, a staff member escorted him to the designated battle room.

"You're the champion of this year's collegiate National Tournament, aren't you?" A middle-aged man's voice greeted him as soon as he entered the battle room. "I followed the tournament a while ago, too."

"You flatter me, sir. I was just lucky enough to win," Zhang Cheng replied modestly.

"Haha, there's no need to be so modest. Reaching the level of a Champion-level Trainer in just two months is proof enough of your strength."

The young man continued, "Let me introduce myself. I'm Chen Shan, the examiner for this Champion-level assessment."

"Hello, Examiner Chen. I'm Zhang Cheng from Modu University." Zhang Cheng politely introduced himself as well.

"Haha, I already know quite a bit about you. All right, if you're ready, let's begin. I'm looking forward to battling you." Chen Shan was eager to see what the National Tournament champion could do.

"I'm ready. We can begin whenever you like," Zhang Cheng said.

"Good. The rules are the same as before: a six-on-six battle." As Chen Shan spoke, he stepped into the battle area.
