Tian Chen arrives in the Far North as an infant amid blood-red lightning that destroys an ice mountain. The Snow Empress finds him at the center of the disturbance. His aura gathers Heaven and Earth Origin Force, encourages submission, and accelerates the Empresses’ cultivation. She suspects he might be an Auspicious Beast or another heaven-blessed existence, but this is not confirmed 1.

The Snow Empress and Ice Empress adopt him and raise him in their palace. Although his cultivation-enhancing influence initially contributes to their interest, their attachment becomes unconditional: the Snow Empress assures him that he will remain her little brother regardless of his talent 1 2.
