Lin Ye is an experienced traveler whose system has accompanied him through reincarnations in multiple worlds. In his previous Teyvat life, he was a Liyue adeptus with white hair and crimson eyes. He spent considerable time with the Lord of Geo and knew Hu Tao, Klee, Qiqi, and Yaoyao 1 2 3.

He also visited wuxia worlds and the world of Honkai Impact 3rd. His stay in the latter occurred five hundred years in the past: he became a Shenzhou immortal’s first disciple, descended the mountain, completed a quest in Yae Village, and then left. His recollections of a gray-haired former master remain emotionally important to him 13 26 30 31.

After completing his Teyvat mission, Lin Ye reincarnated on the Douluo Continent as a six-year-old orphan. With no financial support, he spent half a year surviving on the streets and collecting scrap before awakening his martial soul. Its awakening also reactivated his system 1.

Lin Ye is composed, calculating, and skilled at controlling how others perceive him. On joining the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, he presents himself as a respectful child while maneuvering to study under both resident Titled Douluos. His courtesy is selective: Snake Granny recognizes that he adjusts his manner to the person before him 3 25.

He challenges authority when its claims conflict with evidence. He questions Yu Xiaogang’s soul-ring limits, condemns Shrek’s encouragement of provocation, and rejects the idea that team loyalty requires defending bullying. He later objects to Qin Ming’s weighted-running routine because he considers it inefficient 4 23 50.

His loyalty to chosen companions coexists with ruthless treatment of opponents. He supports Zhu Zhuqing’s independence, protects Ning Rongrong, and returns Liya’s keepsake without demanding payment. Against Tang San, however, he deliberately sabotages cultivation opportunities; during Shrek’s destruction, he treats the confrontation with playful detachment and kills both Tang Hao and an assassin 17 28 34 40.

After receiving ten Gold Soul Coins from Spirit Hall, Lin Ye is pursued by the Blood Leopard Squad. Their attacks cannot reach him, and his first displayed Planet Befall annihilates all five attackers. Seeking financial security and cultivation support, he then heads for the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect 1 2.

His rescue of Ning Rongrong provides an introduction to Ning Fengzhi, Chen Xin, and Gu Rong. He secures core-disciple status and instruction from both Douluos, breaks the first-ring age limit, and defeats the public challengers who could otherwise claim his apprenticeship 3 4 6.

Shrek Academy and Alliance Building

Six years later, Lin Ye accompanies Rongrong to Suotuo City and enters Shrek Academy at level 39. With her amplification, his repeated Heavenly Fire attacks force Zhao Wuji to halt their entrance assessment. Shrek subsequently grants him special admission, additional resources, and waived tuition; he also obtains a one-year tuition waiver for Rongrong 6 9 11 14.

Rather than integrate closely with Shrek’s other students, he forms an alliance with Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing. He and Rongrong win their first World-Painting Combination match against two Soul Ancestors, while his criticism of Shrek’s bullying and demands for unquestioning unity widens the factional split 13 16 17 20 23.

Star Dou Great Forest and Fortune Seizure

Lin Ye deliberately steers Tang San toward a younger, 1,500-year Man Faced Demon Spider, producing a weaker third soul skill and no Eight Spider Lances. When Tang San later fights a two-thousand-year spider, Lin Ye secretly finishes it from within and takes the lances while leaving Tang San unaware of his intervention 28 30.

During the expedition, Lin Ye also obtains his ten-thousand-year fourth ring and advances to level 42. He uses his connection to Sword Douluo to reject Meng Shu’s recruitment attempt and instead gains the Dragon Duke Token 31.

Destruction of Shrek Academy

Yu Xiaogang’s accusations over Lin Ye’s fourth ring escalate into a confrontation involving Shrek’s teachers and students. When Zhao Wuji applies Soul Saint pressure to force him to kneel, Lin Ye sends his companions away and uses his newly released divine-seal power 32 33.

Taixu Sword God destroys the academy and kills Tang Hao despite his Ring Detonation. Lin Ye then kills Dai Mubai’s hired assassin and claims the soul bones left behind. The power’s resealing leaves him dependent on Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing during recovery, while Tang San commits himself to revenge 34 35 36.

Ah Yin and Vast Sea City

Before visiting the coast, Lin Ye retrieves Ah Yin from the cave near Holy Soul Village and takes the Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone. He intends to restore Ah Yin in a more suitable environment, while also anticipating how her presence with him might affect Tang San 37 38.

In Vast Sea City, he returns Liya’s lost maternal keepsake without realizing its romantic significance. Before leaving, he pays the innkeeper to pass on a message telling her not to wait or search for him, while allowing that they may meet again 40 41.

Heaven Dou Royal Academy

Back at the sect, Lin Ye conceals his responsibility for Shrek’s destruction and chooses Heaven Dou Royal Academy for its resources, teachers, and tournament opportunities. Xue Qinghe sponsors the trio’s admission and membership in the Imperial Fighting Team 42 43 46 47.

Lin Ye’s performance against Qin Ming earns him recognition as the team’s second ace, intensifying Yu Tianheng’s jealousy. He also begins planning access to Dugu Bo’s Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well for Ah Yin and challenges the efficiency of the team’s basic conditioning routine 48 49 50.
