Childhood at the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect

Rongrong is Ning Fengzhi’s daughter and is doted on by the sect’s guardians, Sword Douluo Chen Xin and Bone Douluo Gu Rong. While picking flowers in the Glazed Forest, she is chased by a hundred-year Horned Goat. Lin Ye saves her with a golden shield and a purple-lightning sword. Learning that he wants to join her sect, she immediately takes him to meet her father 2 3.

She enthusiastically supports Lin Ye’s admission, asks that he live beside her, and gives him a tour of the sect. During his early training, she cheers him on, urges Chen Xin to let him rest, and anxiously watches him absorb an unusually powerful first soul ring. She also cheers during the public challenges that precede his formal apprenticeship 3 4 6.

Suotuo City and Shrek Academy

Six years later, Rongrong persuades Lin Ye to accompany her on an unauthorized trip to Suotuo City, leaving a letter for her father. Although she complains about constant training, she has worked hard enough to reach level 31 and obtain her third soul ring 6 7.

Her curiosity leads the pair to Shrek Academy. They pass its entrance assessment together: Rongrong strengthens Lin Ye before his fight with Zhao Wuji and helps restore his Soul Power afterward. Once admitted, she shares a dormitory with Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing, but quickly becomes dissatisfied with the academy’s poor accommodations and resources 8 9 10 11 12.

Lin Ye secures a one-year tuition waiver for her. Flender also excuses her from the support students’ running assignment after learning that years of training with Lin Ye have already given her superior physical fitness. Arena Partnership and Alliance with Zhu Zhuqing

Rongrong and Lin Ye register at the Soto Great Soul Arena as the World-Painting Combination. Their first documented match pits them against Tu Gang and Xiong Lie, two rank-42 Soul Ancestors with a fifteen-match winning streak. The opponents target Rongrong, but Lin Ye shields her and quickly throws both men from the platform 15 16.

Rather than simply enjoying the victory, Rongrong complains that she barely contributed. Lin Ye credits her with drawing the opponents’ attention and promises to give her a more active role in a future match. Later that evening, she supports Zhu Zhuqing during her confrontation with Dai Mubai; Lin Ye intervenes when Dai threatens Rongrong 16.

Initially suspicious of Lin Ye’s assistance to Zhu Zhuqing, Rongrong accepts her as an ally after hearing about her imposed engagement and desire to become stronger. During the trip to obtain Oscar’s third soul ring, Rongrong remains closely aligned with Lin Ye and Zhu Zhuqing. She and Lin Ye stay out of the confrontation with Canghui Academy, and the trio continues coordinating separately during the forest expedition 22 24 25.

Rongrong recognizes that Lin Ye arranged Tang San’s encounter with a fifteen-hundred-year Man-Faced Demon Spider. In their private discussion, she questions whether such a ring truly weakens Tang San, prompting Lin Ye to explain that he intended to deny him a stronger ring and additional benefits 27 28.

Shrek’s Destruction and the Seaside Journey

After Lin Ye destroys Shrek Academy and collapses when his extraordinary power is resealed, Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing remain beside him until night. They agree to care for and protect him while he cannot use his powers. Asked where she would like to travel, Rongrong chooses the sea, leading the trio toward Vast Sea City 34 36 37.

On a detour near Holy Soul Village, Rongrong discovers the hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone in a cave. She gives it to Lin Ye and learns that the withered plant he has recovered is Ah Yin, Tang San’s mother. Her shock at these discoveries gives way to sympathy after hearing Ah Yin’s story 38.

At Vast Sea City, she enjoys shopping and seafood with her companions, suggests a pearl necklace for Zhu Zhuqing, and admires the sunset on the beach. She sits close to Lin Ye while pointing out shapes in the clouds 38 39.

Heaven Dou Royal Academy

The trio returns to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, where Rongrong warmly reunites with her family and takes Zhu Zhuqing on a tour. Lin Ye proposes Heaven Dou Royal Academy as their next destination, and Xue Qinghe offers to arrange their admission 42 43.

Rongrong’s Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda immediately identifies her to the academy’s board as Ning Fengzhi’s daughter. The board approves the trio’s direct entry into the Imperial Fighting Team for the next All-Continent Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament. After recovering from her fright in the Glazed Forest, she eagerly questions Lin Ye about his techniques and tries to get him to demonstrate them again. Her privileged upbringing shows in her expectations of comfortable lodging and good food, but she also readily welcomes him into the sect’s family life 2 3 5 12 13.

Years with Lin Ye make her less arrogant and willful than the original-story counterpart described in the narration. Her wish to travel is driven by curiosity about the outside world, and her determination to catch up with him produces genuine cultivation progress and disciplined physical training 7 8 14.

Her feelings for Lin Ye are openly romantic, although she knows he regards her as a little sister. She hopes for a confession, becomes jealous when other girls attract his attention, and directly asks him to explain his dealings with Zhu Zhuqing.
