This was not a battle at all, but a one-sided slaughter.
Watching this unfold, both Gilles de Rais and Ryunosuke Uryu froze in place, as though their souls had been stolen.
"No... impossible."
A moment later, Gilles de Rais's eyes widened. "That Magic Power, that way of fighting... she cannot possibly be an ordinary mage."
"Who said she was a mage?"
Lin Luo looked at him strangely. "She was my Servant from the very beginning."
"What?"
At those words, Gilles de Rais's expression changed drastically. "You aren't a Heroic Spirit? You deceived everyone?"
"I never said I was a Heroic Spirit."
Lin Luo shook his head gently and said indifferently, "But have you decided on your last words?"
Boom!
The instant he finished speaking, a terrifying surge of magic power erupted from his body. Though he had not moved an inch, it swept out in all directions like crashing waves.
In the next instant!
A dazzling Magic Circle slowly materialized behind him, its pale blue light illuminating the entire dark Forest as brightly as daylight.
"Whatever you are, don't look down on me!"
Gilles de Rais's face twisted viciously. He flung Ryunosuke Uryu far away, and a flash of light in his hand revealed a grimoire made from some unknown material.
Prelati's Spellbook.
It was his Noble Phantasm.
Rustle!
The grimoire's pages turned, and an unknown incantation echoed through the air.
Centered on Gilles de Rais, a Magic Circle that seemed to have been traced in blood spread outward, radiating malice and an ominous aura.
Medusa, who had just finished off the last Water Demon, grew tense as she felt the entire dark Forest quake.
She turned to look, sensing an almost tangible demonic aura shrouding the sky and blocking out all the moonlight.
"With that demonic aura, what is he trying to summon?"
Shock appeared on her face. She hurried back to Lin Luo's side and took up a protective stance.
"Roar!"
An earth-shaking roar erupted from within the blood-red Magic Circle, like rolling thunder laden with boundless savagery and brutality.
Dark red light shot into the sky.
Boundless demonic aura surged as a mountain-sized Sea Demon with countless tentacles emerged from the blood-red Magic Circle.
"Master, that grimoire is at least an Anti-Army Noble Phantasm."
Glancing at Gilles de Rais atop the Sea Demon, Medusa suggested, "Should we retreat for now?"
"It's only a Sea Demon."
Lin Luo smiled faintly as the Magic Circle behind him grew even larger. "Don't doubt your master's abilities."
Rumble!
Before Medusa could react, a bolt of lightning spanning heaven and earth burst from the Magic Circle.
The lightning stretched hundreds of yards, seeming to pierce both sky and earth with overwhelming might.
It tore through the demonic aura as though splitting the heavens.
"Who exactly are you?"
Gilles de Rais's pupils contracted, his eyes filled with shock and fury.
Such magical might was practically godlike—demonic, even.
Had the Greater Grail broken?
Choosing someone like this as a Master was downright cheating!
"Roar!"
The Sea Demon let out a roar that trembled with fear.
The overwhelming Thunder filled the creature with instinctive terror.
Almost reflexively, countless tentacles shot into the sky.
Rumble!
As the creature moved.
Demonic aura surged across the sky, threatening to stain even the bright moon pitch-black.
In the next instant!
The lightning collided with the tentacles.
There was no earth-shattering explosion, only utter devastation.
Beneath the lightning, countless tentacles and demonic aura were as fragile as foam, the tentacles charred to cinders in an instant by Thunder.
"Is this... Master's true power?"
Medusa stood rooted to the spot, her lips slightly parted, her beautiful eyes beneath her blindfold filled with unmistakable shock.
"How is this possible?"
Terror covered Gilles de Rais's face. He retreated at full speed, using the Sea Demon's entire body as a shield.
"Roar!"
The Sea Demon, bearing the brunt of the attack, let out an earth-shaking roar.
The creature tried to dodge almost instinctively, but that enormous body made it impossible.
Left with no alternative, the creature's hideous face grew even fiercer, and that massive body charged forward, wrapped in surging demonic aura.
Boom!
The lightning struck the Sea Demon.
A massive mushroom cloud rose into the sky. Endless Hurricane-force winds swept through the dark Forest, and an almost tangible shock wave rippled outward in every direction.
Countless surrounding trees were uprooted, as though the entire Forest had been razed to the ground.
Splurt! Splurt!
Amid the clouds of dust and smoke, the Sea Demon's enormous body split apart again and again. Vast quantities of blood gushed out, turning into a rain of blood.
The creature's blood-red eyes held nothing but fear and unwillingness.
Boom!
Another thunderous crash rang out.
The terrifying lightning engulfed the Sea Demon completely, piercing straight through that enormous body.
"Urgh!"
Not far away, Gilles de Rais coughed up a mouthful of blood. The mere aftershock of Thunder had grievously wounded him.
He tried to flee, only to see the lightning continue unabated, sweeping toward him.
"No!"
Amid a deafening scream, Gilles de Rais vanished beneath the lightning, utterly annihilated by the overwhelming Thunder.
He was erased completely, as though he had never existed at all.
An unknown amount of time passed.
The dust in the air began to settle.
The Magic Circle behind Lin Luo slowly faded away as well.
The entire Forest lay silent.
Yet an indescribable heaviness hung in the air.
"H-how is this possible?"
Covered in dirt and ash, Ryunosuke Uryu had turned deathly pale.
"How could old man Bluebeard die?"
"You clearly aren't a Heroic Spirit. Why are you so strong?"
"You actually survived that aftershock. You really are lucky."
Lin Luo gave him a slightly surprised look. "Well, whatever. You're still going to die."
With that, he casually flicked a finger, and a beam of Magic Power pierced Ryunosuke Uryu's chest.
Splurt!
Blood splashed out, along with fragments of his internal organs.
"This... this is..."
Seeing it all, Ryunosuke Uryu suddenly looked enlightened. "Hahaha! So this is what I've been searching for."
With a smile, Ryunosuke Uryu breathed his last.
Lin Luo: "..."
This guy really was out of his mind.
Was letting a serial killer like him die satisfied going too easy on him?
Shaking his head, Lin Luo turned and slipped an arm around Medusa's waist. "Why are you standing there in a daze? Have you fallen for your master?"
Medusa came back to her senses, tilted her head against Lin Luo's shoulder of her own accord, and smiled. "Yes. I really do have a powerful master."
Even as a legendary monster, she was no exception to the instinctive admiration for the strong, shared by gods and demons alike.
Her heart stirred.
"Hehe, now you know what a treasure you've found."
Lin Luo smiled faintly. "But do try to restrain yourself. We're outside, after all."
"Heh... hehe..."
The corner of Medusa's mouth twitched.
Fine!
No matter how powerful he was, it did nothing to change the fact that his head was full of filthy thoughts.
Still, doing it outside really wouldn't be appropriate.
Wait!
What was she thinking?
Under the night sky, Medusa gazed at Lin Luo's handsome face, her cheeks flushing Crimson.

The Matou Residence!
In the dining room!
"Miss Irisviel, are you sure you're a good cook?"
Medusa stared at the black substance before her, her eyelids twitching incessantly.
After dealing with Gilles de Rais!
Lin Luo and Medusa had returned to the residence, just in time for Irisviel to show off her cooking skills.
At first, they had been somewhat excited.
After all, Irisviel had been brimming with confidence.
